El Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda de Madrid y Tendam analizan los retos en moda sostenible

La jornada `El reto de la sostenibilidad en la industria textil´ se celebrará el próximo 12 de diciembre en la Tienda Springfield de la calle Alcalá Nº 98 (Madrid).

|10.12.2019| Coincidiendo con la celebración de la Cumbre del Clima en Madrid, el Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda de Madrid de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid y Tendam, junto con el Ayuntamiento de Madrid, organizan un encuentro sobre el reto de la sostenibilidad en la industria textil dentro del programa `Aula Universidad´, enmarcado en el acuerdo entre ambas entidades para continuar trabajando por una moda sostenible.

Ética y sosteniblidad

Durante la jornada, que se celebrará el 12 de diciembre, profesionales del CSDMM y Tendam, referentes del sector y representantes del Ayuntamiento de Madrid abordarán la realidad de la industria y analizarán la necesidad de adaptarse a las nuevas demandas de producir productos más éticos y respetuosos con el medio ambiente.

En concreto, Ignacio Sierra, Director General Corporativo Tendam; Concha Díaz de Villegas Soláns, Directora General de Comercio y Emprendimiento del Ayuntamiento de Madrid; Javier Jiménez-Leube, Vicerrector de Comunicación Institucional y Promoción Exterior de la UPM; Manuel Blanco, Director de la ETSAM-UPM y CEO del CSDMM-UPM; Albert Mora, Director Diseño Springfield y Guillermo García-Badell, Director CSDMM-UPM se darán cita en este encuentro abierto al público.

Asimismo, durante la jornada, representantes del Aula Tendam-Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda presentarán la convocatoria a los Premios de Trabajo Fin de Grado destinados a reconocer los mejores proyectos de las futuras promesas del diseño español en el ámbito de la sostenibilidad, la responsabilidad y la innovación en diseño de moda. Un galardón que muestra el compromiso de la Universidad ante los desafíos del mundo actual y se plantea como una contribución desde la UPM a la Agenda 2030 y los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible.

Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda de Madrid

El Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda de Madrid, CSDMM, de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), fue reconocido con el Premio Nacional de Moda 2016 y ocupa el primer puesto como mejor Centro Universitario de España para estudiar el Grado de Diseño, según el informe U-Ranking de la Fundación BBVA y el Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Económicas.

A lo largo de estos años, el Centro y la UPM han mantenido en constante adaptación el proyecto formativo incorporando el Grado Oficial Universitario de Diseño de Moda y el Programa de Doctorado relacionado con la Moda. Además, han apostado desde sus inicios por contar con diseñadores referentes en el panorama nacional e internacional de la moda como profesores de su programa formativo en el que imparten un completo programa donde trasladan las técnicas de diseño y la realidad de la industria.

El Centro cuenta entre sus profesores con diseñadores destacados como Ana Locking, Juan Vidal, Maya Hansen, María Ke Fisherman, Daniel Rabaneda o Miguel Becer, que trabajan en una formación con un criterio eminentemente práctico y orientado a una progresiva integración del alumnado en el mundo profesional.

Tendam

Tendam es una de las principales compañías europeas del sector moda especializada en la gestión de marcas del segmento premium mass market. The CSDMM-UPM and Tendam analyze the challenges in sustainable fashion

The conference `The challenge of sustainability in the textile industry´ will be held on December 12 at the Springfield Store on Calle Alcalá Nº 98 (Madrid).

| 10.12.2019 | Coinciding with the celebration of the Climate Summit in Madrid, the Superior Center of Fashion Design of Madrid of the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Tendam, together with the City Council of Madrid, organize a meeting on the challenge of sustainability in the textile industry within the ‘University Classroom’ program, framed in the agreement between both entities to continue working for a sustainable fashion.

Ethics and sustainability

During the day, which will be held on December 12, professionals from CSDMM and Tendam, industry leaders and representatives of the Madrid City Council will address the reality of the industry and discuss the need to adapt to the new demands of producing more ethical and respectful products with the environment.

Specifically, Ignacio Sierra, Tendam Corporate General Director; Concha Díaz de Villegas Soláns, General Director of Commerce and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council; Javier Jiménez-Leube, Vice-Chancellor of Institutional Communication and External Promotion of the UPM; Manuel Blanco, Director of ETSAM-UPM and CEO of CSDMM-UPM; Albert Mora, Springfield Design Director and Guillermo García-Badell, CSDMM-UPM Director will meet at this meeting open to the public.

Also, during the day, representatives of the Tendam Classroom-Higher Center for Fashion Design will present the call for the End of Degree Work Awards aimed at recognizing the best projects of future promises of Spanish design in the field of sustainability, responsibility and innovation in fashion design. An award that shows the University’s commitment to the challenges of today’s world and is presented as a contribution from the UPM to the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Madrid Center for Fashion Design

The Superior Center of Fashion Design of Madrid, CSDMM, of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), was recognized with the 2016 National Fashion Award and occupies the first position as the best University Center of Spain to study the Degree of Design, according to the U-Ranking report of the BBVA Foundation and the Valencian Institute of Economic Research.

Throughout these years, the Center and the UPM have kept the training project constantly adapting by incorporating the Official University Degree in Fashion Design and the PhD Program related to Fashion.
