La ENIM fue creada en 1987 dentro de la Universidad de Monestir, ciudad que se encuentra en la costa del país, no muy lejos de la capital y cerca de sus clusters textiles. Cuenta con cuatro ingenierías (energética, mecánica, eléctrica y textil), con numerosos laboratorios y con acuerdos de cooperación con instituciones docentes tunecinas y francesas. La ingeniería textil apoya al sector textil/confección tunecino, que es muy importante para la economía del país.
ENIM was created in 1987 within the University of Monestir, a city located on the coast of the country, not far from the capital and close to several textile clusters. It has four engineering schools (energy, mechanical, electrical and textile), with a number of laboratories and cooperation agreements with Tunisian and French institutions. Its textile engineering school supports the Tunisian textile/clothing sector, which is very important for national economy.
