Ensisa, que forma parte de la Universidad de Alta Alsacia, es una de las 210 escuelas de ingeniería francesas. Su estructura actual es relativamente reciente, pero sus antecedentes se remontan a la École Théorique et Pratique de Tissage Mécanique, fundada en 1861 para responder a las necesidades de la industria textil alsaciana. Tiene cinco grandes departamentos, uno de los cuales está dedicado a los tejidos y a las fibras, que cuenta con un importante laboratorio de física y mecánica de los tejidos.
Ensisa, part of the University of Haute Alsace, is one of the 210 French engineering schools. Its current structure is relatively new, but its history goes back to the École Pratique de Tissage Théorique et Mécanique, founded in 1861 to meet the needs of the Alsatian textile industry. It has five major departments, one of which is devoted to fabrics and fibers, with an important laboratory working with fabric physics and mechanical features.
