The EC encourages the presence of young people in the textile sector
The European Commission presents «Open Your Mind», a project to attract young people to the textile, clothing, leather and footwear sectors.
| 19.11.2019 | The European Commission has launched a program called «Open Your Mind» that aims to attract young people to the textile, clothing, footwear and leather industry. It does this by providing professional opportunities in areas related to innovation and digital technologies in these strategic sectors for the European economy.
Management and collaboration
The program is directed by EASME, Executive Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises; and DG GROW, General Directorate of Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs. This project will be executed in six countries, including Spain. The event will be presented by José Monzonís, President of FICE (Federation of Spanish Footwear Industries); with the collaboration of David Lapof, Project Manager IED REC Research and Education Center.
The presentation of this project, «Open Your Mind», will take place next Thursday, November 21, at 10:30 at the IED of Calle Larra 14, Madrid.
