The SIMOF young designers contest already has finalists
Ten future promises will participate in the SIMOF 2020 Young Flamenco Dress Designers Contest.
| 12.12.2019 | The objective of this contest is to promote and disseminate the creations of young Flamenco Fashion designers. The participants of this edition have recently undergone the selection of a committee of experts that has paid special attention to the originality, concept, design and preparation of the presented design.
The ten finalists
The ten young designers selected by the commission are: Carlos García Checa (Granada); Juan Manuel Saavedra Linares (Cádiz); Immaculate Martínez Castro (Jaén); Emma Prieto Carrón (Cáceres); Lorena María Rodríguez Pérez (Jaén); Manuel Vizcaíno Barba (Huelva); Almudena Caballero Leal (Córdoba); Ángela Trigo Serrano (Seville); Daniel Mora Pérez (Sevilla) and José Joaquín Gil Macías (Huelva).
These 10 finalists will present their collection on January 31, 2020, at the contest for young designers of flamenco dresses, which will be held during the XXVI edition of the International Flamenco Fashion Show, SIMOF 2020.
The award
The award for the young designer of flamenco dresses SIMOF 2020 will consist of:
- Participate for free in the EGO-SIMOF 2020 space
- Parade at the catwalk with a parade in SIMOF 2021
- The amount of 1,000 euros in fabrics of the company Flamentex.
In addition, the prize provided by EXTENDA, which consists of the participation, during the year 2020, in two training sessions of a workshop on fashion companies, and visit the fashion salons held in Paris on the occasion of the Paris Fashion Week . Both the training sessions and the guided tour will be conducted by a fashion consultant.
This event has served as a starting point in the professional career of great promises of design such as Juana Martín, Sergio Vidal, Pedro Béjar, Antonio Gutiérrez or Cristina García, among others.
