Against crime in stores

Rob Schuurman, CEO of Nedap Retail, comments: «Business crime is one of the most serious threats facing our sector. The decline in inventory due to store robberies, theft by employees or other human errors significantly affects a seller’s baseline, reaching $ 100 billion a year of indirect losses worldwide. Regardless of where the sales operations are carried out, this decline is a common enemy. That is why we help sales executives strengthen their knowledge of RFID based electronic article surveillance technology. »
EAS based on RFID
RFID-based EAS technology generates a real-time understanding of what, when and how certain items are lost. This information is obtained by integrating inventory data at the item level and loss prevention data. This new perspective takes advantage of RFID and EAS inventory visibility technologies to offer comprehensive images of loss events in order to take loss prevention efforts to the next level.
- Track and manage commercial shrinkage from supply to store, in real time.
- Facilitate safe and simple payments
- Create unique experiences for the buyer with open tickets
- Difference between actual store reduction and other forms of inventory distortion
- Highlights the sources of shrinkage, in stores and throughout the supply chain
- Test real-time responses and predictive analysis
Loss prevention – inventory management
Sales executives can begin their RFID journey using RFID technology as a basic EAS solution. Later, they can leverage their intelligence capabilities at the item level to improve inventory visibility; the precision; and, ultimately, encourage faster store replenishment.
