ACME and the Nebrija University will enhance Spanish fashion
The Fashion Creators Association of Spain (ACME) reach an agreement with the Nebrija University to promote training activities in the Fashion Design Degree.
| 25.07.2019 | The Nebrija University and ACME have signed an agreement to unite the potential and efforts of both institutions within the Degree in Fashion Design of the Nebrija University. Through this agreement both institutions will be able to propose exchanges between students, professors and professionals of the sector belonging to the Association.
One of the most important aspects is that the students of the Nebrija University will have the possibility of doing internships in ACME and in the companies attached to the Association. It is a unique opportunity for students to train in a practical way in professional environments.
Both institutions will collaborate in the development of projects for students with seminars, conferences, conferences and academic activities. Research projects of common interest and mutual advice in academic and professional areas will also be carried out.
Fashion Design Degree
The Nebrija University launched the Fashion Design Degree during the 2017-2018 academic year. This provides students with the necessary tools to join the fashion sector; a powerful and dynamic industry, which offers continuous job opportunities. Spain is the fourth country that exports the most fashion. In addition, up to 10% of the Spanish business network works, directly or indirectly, for this sector.
About ACME
It is a professional non-profit organization founded in 1998 by designers Modesto Lomba; Jesus of the Well; Elio Berhanyer; Antonio Pernas; Ángel Schlesser and Roberto Verino. At present, it brings together 73 associated firms, dedicated to fashion design and accessories, participating in the main fashion shows and platforms nationally and internationally.
The objective of ACME is to defend the interests of fashion creation in Spain. The Association promotes Spanish fashion from all its facets: economic, cultural, creative and commercial. For this, they promote activities and tools to increase their competitiveness, inside and outside Spain, such as the realization of academic and cultural programs.
