The students of the Official College of Jewelers, Goldsmiths, Watchmakers and Gemmologists of Catalonia (JORGC) presented their creations in the exhibition «Versatile Jewels».

12.07.2019 | The students of JORGC have presented their works of end of course in the exhibition Versatile Jewels. With the aim of becoming professionals of the sector, the students of the latest promotion of the jewelry school have created versatile jewelry, with more than one functionality. As examples: solar chargers, reading points, tea infusions or belts.

Multiple functionalities

A selection of very different jewels has been exhibited. Those who have deserved this year’s award have been:

  • The infusor tea earrings by Renata Campisani, winner of the best piece in concept.
  • The flint rings of Mariana Bilbao, winner of the best piece in design.
  • Axel Naacke incense ring, winner of the best piece in finishes.
  • The bracelet holds bags by María Lanau, winner of the best piece of work as a bag holder.
  • The double ring that simulates a box of watercolors by Jordi Piñol, winner of the best design piece.

Closing ceremony

The closure of the 2018/2019 academic year and the graduation of the students took place at the Unión Suiza jewelry store in Barcelona for the second year in a row. The students who have received the title have been the same ones who have exhibited their creations before all those people who have wanted to see the talent of the new generations. The event counted with the participation of 30 students.
